Product Version specifies details of Product in a specific published version. It contains information about product descriptions, items, configurations, and connections at the moment of creation.
Please take into consideration the following points before creating product version:
In order to create a new product version you need to follow the Products module. Once Product is selected and you are in the Product details, use left menu Versions screen and the right top Fork Master button to proceed.
Fork Master version screen shown below. Good changelog is very important for the customer experience. A changelog should contain a curated, chronologically ordered list of notable changes for each version of a product.
Description: changelog information for the current Product version.
Visibility: Public or Private.
Public versions will immediately be visible to Providers that have access to this Product as well as publicly in case your product is listed in the CloudBlue Catalog.
Private versions are available for review and further work only for owner of the product.
Development changes are performed in the special “Master” version visible only to the Vendor. In order to make changes visible to Providers, at least 1 public version of the product needs to be created.
All your changes are applied to a special Master version and you can always switch between the created versions and the Master version using the dropdown selection at the top left corner of the screen.
Click Inspect to see attributes of that specific created product version.
