Product Version specifies details of Product in a specific published version. It contains information about product descriptions, items, configurations, and connections at the moment of publication. Once the Product Version is created, the Product is considered Published.

How to create Product Versions

IMPORTANT!  Please take into consideration the following points related to creating product version before proceeding:

  • Product category must be selected for the specific Product before creating initial version. 
  • Product main media file must be uploaded for specific Product before creating initial version.
  • You will not be able to change the name of the Product once the first version is created (will be deprecated in Release 19)
  • You will not be able to edit or remove existing Product Items, though you can always add new items and End of Sale existing ones.

In order to create a version of a particular product, first use the Inventory module (1) to navigate to the Product details (2) screen as shown below:

Once a Product is selected and you are in the Product details, use left menu Versions (1)screen and Create Version (2)button.

You don’t need specify versioning for the Product. Version auto-incremented after each product publication.  

Note: Branches are not available.

The following Versions of the product are currently published. All your changes are always applied to a special Master version. You can always switch between the published version and the Master version using the dropdown selection at the top left corner of the screen (1).

Click Inspect (2)to see attributes of that specific published product version.

Here you may also create new Versions (3) of your Product.

Note: Only the latest version is available for providers to preview.
